Bodhidaoism is a personal path without clergy, church, or scripture. That means there is nothing for you to join, no membership dues, no fees of any kind. We are just friends, no matter what your ethnicity, race, sex, gender identification, sexual orientation, age, disability, socioeconomic status, or nationality.
Identifying as a Bodhidaoist means accepting the Twelve Principles and making a personal commitment to yourself to live according to them. Nobody is going to enforce this. It is on the honor system.
Jay N. Forrest, the creator of Bodhidaoism, is an American philosopher with a doctorate in religion, specializing in Humanism, Buddhism, Daoism, and Stoicism. He is a humanist celebrant, a certified meditation teacher in Buddhist meditation, and the author of over a dozen books.
